German editions

The first edition of the book Die Mädchen von Zimmer 28 was published in April 2004 by Droemer Verlag, Munich. Further editions followed in the Czech Republic, Poland, the USA and Brazil. In 2008, Aufbau Verlag, Berlin, published a new edition with a new cover.


Most of the books, including the German editions (others were published by Knaur and Weltbild) are out of print. The rights are held by me. In Poland, the book was reissued in 2021. In the Czech Republic a new translated and revised edition was published by Albatros Media in 2022.

Edition Room 28

Edition Room 28 was created to publish important documents and additional stories on the history and fate of the "Girls of Room 28". It started in 2014 with the publication of Helga Pollak's diary written in Room 28 of the Girls'Hhome L 410 in the Theresienstadt ghetto. It was followed by the autobiography of Evelina Merová Lebenslauf auf einer Seite/ Life on a Page. From 2016, the Compendia on the Room 28 Educational Project (German, English, Czech) were published, and from 2020, the music-theater play Theresienstadt. The Girls of Room 28 (German, English, Brazilian).
